Advanced Search Form in Oxygen for Custom Post Types

This members-only tutorial provides the steps to set up an advanced search form that allows the visitors to search for entries in one or more Custom Post Types in Oxygen based on this WPBeginner article.

We shall add Posts, Projects and Products as selectable checkboxes below the search form. You can of course add any post types you want.

When none of these are ticked, search shows the standard WordPress results (Posts and Pages) plus from all the CPTs that we include - in this example, project and product .

When one or more post types is/are checked, the resulting search will show entries from the selected post types.

Step 1

Install and activate Code Snippets plugin.

Go to Snippets > Add New.
