This members-only tutorial provides the steps to replace the default WordPress search form's submit input element with a button element having the HTML for Font Awesome's search icon inside.

We shall also replace the default search input's placeholder text from Search ... to just Search and do a bit of styling to make it look neat.

Step 1

Install and activate Code Snippets plugin.

Go to Snippets > Add New.
