Redirecting to an Interstitial Page and back to Referring Page After Form Submission

Sridhar Katakam

In a recent website project I worked on, the requirement was to send the visitor to a thank you page (with email address passed via query string for tracking by Pardot) after a form has been submitted and then after 5s automatically redirect back to the page where the form was filled submitted from.

Let's see how the above can be set up in this members-only tutorial.

While Gravity Forms and Oxygen will be referenced in this tutorial, it can be applied in any WordPress site with any form plugin that makes it possible to redirect to a URL upon form submission.

Step 1

Create a static Page for sending the visitors to after the form has been submitted.

You may want to add a message here that reads something like "Thanks for submitting the form. You'll be redirected to the earlier page in 5 seconds".

Step 2

Add the following JS in the Page. If using Oxygen, you could do this via a Code Block component.
