Testimonials carousel in Oxygen using Easy Posts, ACF and Owl

This members-only tutorial provides the steps to display entries of a testimonial Custom Post Type via Oxygen's Easy Posts as a responsive carousel using Owl.

For each testimonial entry, we shall show featured image, excerpt, star rating custom field and the entry title.

Custom font icons will be used for left/right arrows, quotation symbol and stars.

Step 1

Install and activate Custom Post Type UI plugin.

Add testimonial post type.

Step 2

Download, install (upload) and activate ACF Star Rating Field plugin.

Step 3

Install and activate Advanced Custom Fields plugin.

Go to Custom Fields > Tools.

Import this field group. (alternate download link)

That will add a "Testimonial Meta" field group having a Star Rating type field named star_rating attached to testimonial CPT entries.

Step 4

Add as many testimonial entries as you have/want.

Enter title, content, featured image (shown as 120 x 120 in the front end), star rating for each.

Step 5

Install and activate My Custom Functionality plugin.

Connect to your hosting account using a FTP client and navigate to site's /wp-content/plugins/my-custom-functionality-master.

Create a directory called font under assets.
