This members-only tutorial provides the steps to implement Headroom.js, a JavaScript library to hide the header until it is needed in Oxygen.

We shall use CSS3 animations to smoothly slide the header up when scrolling down and to slide it down when scrolling up.

Step 1

Install and activate My Custom Functionality plugin.

Connect to your hosting account using a FTP client and navigate to site's wp-content/plugins/my-custom-functionality-master.

For adding code blocks wrap the code in three backticks. Markdown should work.
Provide a URL of your site/webpage if something is not working.
  • Following the tutorial returns a “uncaught TypeError” error in line 5 from the js block on what may depend. The JS from the plugin is loaded correctly through the inspection.

    Thank you

  • Will this work with your responsive menu for O2? As it is not really a sticky element made by header builder.

Does the code have to be modified?

I would love to implement this on a site I am developing right now.
