How to customize the Search Form in Oxygen

In this members-only tutorial, we shall

enable HTML5 for the search form
add CSS to hide the screen reader text
add a code snippet to customize the entire search form markup and change the search input placeholder text and search button text

Step 1

Add support for HTML5 markup in Oxygen.

Step 2

Install and activate Code Snippets plugin.

Add a new Snippet titled say, "Customize Search Form" having the following code:
